Ida + Peter’s Luxury Destination Wedding at Hacienda Temozon In Mexico was intentional, festive, all inclusive, and the perfect three day celebration with their closest friends and family from quite literally all over the world. Ida & Peter live in Australia while Ida’s family is in California and Peter’s are in England.They rented out the entire Hacienda Temozon in Mexico to make it as intimate as possible and it was nothing short of that!
These two know how to throw a party. I instantly fell in love with them. Their warmth, inviting personality, and hilarious stories made me want to just hang out with them everyday. Documenting their day was nothing short of a dream. The weekend started off with a fun filled rehearsal pool party (with numerous themed water floaties!) and made/cooked in front of you taco bar for dinner. The perfect way to kick off the weekend of festivities! Come wedding day, Ida got ready in her suite amongst her best friends making homemade flower crowns and sharing stories of how they knew one another. She then slipped into her CUSTOM made wedding dress by one of her dearest friends. Still can’t get over that detail, it was perfect. Peter was across the property with his guys relaxing, chatting, sipping whisky, and showing off his light blue Tom Ford suit and Gucci loafers.
After the first look in the vibrant yellow and red colored courtyard, we walked around the property and took some portraits before having to take cover for a downpour of rain that came out of nowhere! Rest assured, everyone was laughing and in great spirits taking things as they came about. The rain wouldn't stop their day from happening. Their ceremony was lined in rows of sunflowers as a nod to their proposal where Peter asked Ida to marry him in a sunflower field in France. Every little detail of their day had so much intention and storytelling behind it. Truly a photographer's dream.
After the ceremony, it was time to party and like I mentioned earlier, these two know. How. to. Party. Their friend group is all so close and the energy in the room was never missing a beat. With a live band (that the bride and groom got on stage and sang with) and an open bar, the night went off with a bang (no seriously, there was a huge party confetti popper that filled the dance floor). In great party energy fashion, the entire bridal party ended the night jumping into the resort pool… some with their clothes on… some without (which is why there are no photos of that part of the night). All in all, Ida + Peter’s wedding was one I will never forget. I love these two humans and their friends and family so much. What an honor to capture their Luxury Destination Wedding in Mexico.
